Your Tasks

  • Moderation of hazard analyses and risk assessments (HARA, HAZOP) as well as further safety analyses (FMEA, FTA) for electronic systems in re-nowned cars (chassis systems, ADAS, battery systems, etc.)
  • Management of functional safety in accordance with ISO 26262 / IEC 61508 for one or more items including planning, organization of activities and regular reporting (creation and agreement of the safety plan, re-porting/escalation, conclusion of the safe case, preparation of release recommendations)
  • Execution of impact analyses and reviews of carry-over projects, tailoring of processes and definition of changes (e. g. modification of safety concepts, re-agreement and refinement of requirements)
  • Management of safety requirements throughout the whole safety lifecycle resulting in an item safety case
  • Supplier management regarding functional safety (scope agreement, DIA, self-assessment rating, review of work products and processes)
  • Supporting safety assessments · Preparation of test plans and specifications based on criteria resulting from the safety concepts
  • Support and/or review of HW and SW safety integrity in accordance to ISO 26262-5 and ISO26262-6
  • Communication with the project team to consolidate information necessary to create item definitions and safety concepts
  • Supervision of junior safety engineers

Your Skills

  • Successfully finished university study of Automotive/Electrical/Software Engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262, IEC 61508 or other related standards)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Willingness to travel and to learn
  • V1.0 Functional Safety Manager 2
  • Required professional experience
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written German language is required
  • Experience with projects following ISO 26262, IEC 61508 or other related standards
  • Experience with failure analysis methodologies (FMEA, FTA, FMEDA etc.)
  • Overview of architecture of automotive electronic systems (control units, buses, communication protocols, diag-nosis…) is advantageous
  • Knowledge of SOTIF (ISO/PAS 21448) is advantageous
  • Experience with V-model and quality management is advantageous
