For our client we are currently looking for a Operational Engineer – Security & Observability (OpenTelemetry, API) (m/f/d) - REMOTE.

Your tasks

    • Support Security and Observability initiatives for FinOps Insights
    • Support the adoption of Central Observability under CTB-1774
    • Work closely with the existing engineering team on development and operational activities
    • Support productive services and operational processes
    • Handle incidents, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
    • Support customer requests and production-related issues
    • Monitor productive services and analyze logs
    • Support CI/CD pipelines and release processes
    • Perform Kubernetes deployments, troubleshooting and log analysis
    • Maintain and improve operational runbooks
    • Contribute to documentation and knowledge transfer
    • Drive continuous improvement of operational processes
    • Prioritize and execute operational tasks efficiently

Your qualifications

    • Experience working with TypeScript and Node.js environments
    • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release processes
    • Practical experience with Kubernetes, including deployments, troubleshooting and log analysis
    • Experience supporting productive services and operational processes
    • Experience with incident management and root-cause analysis
    • Strong understanding of operational processes in engineering environments
    • NICE TO HAVE:
    • Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry APIs and SDKs
    • Strong understanding of distributed tracing and span context propagation
    • Experience with metrics collection, including counters, histograms and gauges
    • Experience with structured logging and log correlation
    • Experience with Jira and GitHub
    • Experience with VS Code and/or IntelliJ
    • Experience with API clients such as Bruno
    • Experience with database clients such as DBeaver
    • Experience working with AI/LLM models
    • Experience with Cronicle, Concourse, Grafana and GitHub Actions
