For our client we are currently looking for a Deploy Domain Architecture Consultancy (m/f/d) - Frankfurt (50%) and Remote.
Your tasks
- Designing and overseeing IT systems that meet business needs
- Coordination stakeholders like product owners as well as lead and domain architects to define and refine functional and non-functional requirements.
- Providing translation of the requirements and high-level service architecture into modular, scalable and maintainable technical designs aligned with service-oriented and cloud-native principles.
- Providing documentation, maintaining and evolving (including versioning) architecture artifacts over the lifecycle of the product.
- Giving recommendations and maintaining of security best practices within the Kubernetes environment, working closely with security teams to address vulnerabilities.
- Consultation on the design and continuously evolving of a well-defined service architecture that promotes consistency and interoperability.
- Assessing and recommending technologies and tools that best meet organizational needs
- Evaluation and giving recommendation of emerging technologies and existing tools for potential adoption.
- Conceptualization of feasible and functional designs by engineering proof-of-concepts (POCs) which integrate relevant components/modules of the system with newly developed or mocked functionality.
- Providing actionable recommendations on technology adoption, optimization, and deprecation. Providing architectural support and collaborating across ESL to ensure successful implementation
- Consulting of the engineering stakeholders by guiding them on questions related to architecture and design patterns during implementation.
- Structuring the refinement of the engineering stakeholders based on the developed designs, incorporating learnings from the POCs.
- Mentoring and coaching of communication and exchange between stakeholders of the Service Product Line, and other EDP stakeholders, by maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation for any developed services.

Your qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on project experience either as an architect or developer/engineer at a transmission system operator in the context of critical systems (System Operations, on-premise IT Infrastructure for Operations).
- Profound understanding of the concepts behind the resource hierarchy of public cloud providers as well as the lifecycle of managed services offerings.
- Proven experience in building cloud-native platforms, including CI/CD pipelines, observability frameworks, and release processes for cloud native applications.
- Demonstrated development and architecture experience with Cloud-Native technologies, Kubernetes-related tooling and frameworks (including architecture patterns around microservices, brokering (pub-sub), event sourcing, sharding/partitioning, load throtteling/gateway patterns, performance management).
- Proven ability to decompose architecture designs and proof-of-concepts (POCs) into structured, actionable work items, enabling and guiding engineering and DevOps teams through implementation and backlog refinement.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively drive architectural decisions, align with cross-functional stakeholders, and iteratively refine platform and product requirements in complex environments.
- Hands-on experience in software and distributed system development and engineering to be able to quickly design and build POCs.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD workflow and experience with IaC, GitOps tools.
- Experience with Controller Runtime library.
